ในปัจจุบันวันฮาโลวีนซึ่งตรงกับวันที่ 31 ตุลาคมของทุกปี ได้กลายเป็นเทศกาลเฉลิมฉลองประจำปีที่สร้างความสนุกสนานให้กับทั้งเด็กและผู้ใหญ่  หลายครอบครัวเริ่มประดับตกแต่งบ้านเรือนของตัวเองให้อบอวลไปด้วยบรรยากาศของโลกแห่งความตายและวิญญาณ อาทิ ฟักทองหน้าปีศาจ ภูติผีที่ยืนอยู่ตามรั้วบ้านหรือเกาะอยู่ที่ประตูบ้าน รวมไปถึงการจัดปาร์ตี้บ้านผีสิง การจับกลุ่มกันเล่าเรื่องผีสยองขวัญและการแต่งกายแต่งหน้าคอสเพลย์เลียนแบบตัวละครผีดังในภาพยนตร์สยองขวัญชื่อดัง
