หลังจากที่แฟนๆ รอลุ้นกันอย่างตื่นเต้นสำหรับงานประกาศรางวัล ‘Melon Music Awards 2020’ (MMA 2020) ซึ่งในครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 2-5 ธันวาคมโดยไม่มีผู้ชมแบบเห็นหน้ากันเนื่องจากข้อจำกัด ของ COVID-19 นอกจากนี้ยังมีการถ่ายทอดสดทางออนไลน์ให้แฟนๆ ได้ลุ้นไปพร้อมๆ กัน
ซึ่งการประกาศรางวัล ‘2020 Melon Music Awards‘ ในปีนี้มีศิลปิน10 อันดับแรก ( BTS , BLACKPINK , IZ * ONE , Backhun EXO , อิมยองอุง, Oh My Girl , คิมโฮจุง, แบค Yerin, ZicoและIU ) และ ประเภทรางวัลอื่นๆ (Rock, Indie, OST, R & B / Soul, Ballad, Rap / Hip-Hop) ได้รับการประกาศก่อนพิธีหลักในวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม
และเป็นปีที่สองติดต่อกันแล้วที่ ส่วน BTS ก็สามารถกวาดรางวัลแดซัง ซึ่งเป็นรางวัลใหญ่ไปครองได้สำเร็จ เป็นปีที่สองติดต่อกัน ได้แก่รางวัล Artist of the Year, Album of the Year “Map of the Soul: 7” และ Song of the Year“ Dynamite
นอกเหนือจากรางวัลที่กล่าวมาข้างต้น BTS ยังได้รับรางวัล Best Dance (Male) จากรายการ“ Dynamite” และรางวัล Netizen’s Choice ซึ่งนำรางวัล MMA 2020 ของกลุ่มทั้งหมดถึงหกรางวัล (7 รางวัลรวมถึงการทำงานร่วมกันของ IU และ Best Rock ของ Suga)
